Working on a series of Illustrations for a Crossfit Community/Event.
Wanted to try something new instead of all the usual "strong", "sporty", "sharp" and "fast" typographic treatments that Illustrations like this usually look like. So this is what came out of it. A more organic and living visual expression. Easy to animate and "looks alive" :)

All Illustrations are first drawn by hand and then imported into Cinema 4D for furthur development. I used a simple Spline Wrap for the shape and tweaked the Size function graph to define the change in scaling of the deformed object over the length of the spline in order to get a more natural organic look. Then I just repositioned the points of the spline in Z-space. And done!
